"Umm, what???" is my official response to Stephan Sagmeister.
About all I took away from the clip about Sagmeister was that he was another artist who likes to break tradition and defy convention and such and such. Although I did cringe a bit when I saw this picture.
I'm not sure if there was a clever way of creating this skin effect, or if it really is flesh carving on the skin (as it appears,) but either way, it's effective. And even though I may not understand it, it gets a reaction out of me.
Interesting guy, even if above my head a little.

Please do not assume or imply your intellect isnt enough to appreciate Stephans genius. What genius? Hes a skinny naked guy showing fake or real cuts on his body. Thats a healthy mental image! Yeah, I wanna see that! Why does anyone believe that genius has to be way out there, freaky, dark, destructive, or its no good? Why do we think shock value is creative genius? I don't deny his creativity, but why is he genius, why not just bizarre. And if this is genius, you can keep it. I'd rather see a blank page rather than this &*%$#. You don't get it? Neither do I and I don't want it.
